International Running Race „Amber Sea Mile 2009“

On October 10 at 13.00 in a unique nature corner – in Smiltynė (Smiltynės str. 13, at the sports and health base) a cannon shot shall announce the beginning of the ninth traditional international race – “Amber Sea Mile 2009”. This is the XXI century’s sports and health project: race for everybody – for the big and small, professional runners and beginners. At the same time an open Lithuanian autumn cross championship and junior competition will take place.

The three and six sea miles routes are permanent and records are registered. The three miles route record was beat five times. Four times it was done by the racer from Riga Daniela Fetcere, her best achievement is 19:13.
Men have managed to beat the six sea miles route record twice. The best result was reached in 2006 by an Estonian runner Pavel Loskutov – 34:38.
Registration for the “Amber Sea Mile 2009” starts on 1 May 2009.
Free registration for everybody will be on till September 30.
On October 1–9 the entrance fee for everybody will be 10 LTL.

For everybody – 1 sea mile (two laps)
Children – born in 2001 and younger – 0.5 sea mile (one lap)
Juniors – born in 1994–1995

Young men and women – born in 1990–1991
Men and women – born in 1989 and older
Veterans – born in 1959 and older
